The E-Myth Revisited: Why Most Small Businesses Don’t Work and What to Do About It (HarperCollins, 1995)
I loved this book and keep going back to it over and over again. The author is personable, clear in delivery, and wise beyond words.
Secrets of Power Negotiating (Career Press, 2012)
I wish I had read this book way before I actually read it. I regularly refer to this book. Project management is bursting with give and take and you need to be able to understand both sides of the negotiating table and recognize your next move at all times. Negotiation is about people and understanding motivations. Project Management is about the same. These two art forms are a perfect match!
The 4-Hour Workweek (New York, NY: Harmony, 2009)
I took very detailed notes while reading this book. I loved the author’s style and his ability to bring me into his world so creatively. I have recommended this book on multiple occasions and will continue to do so until I am blue in the face.
